The country of Azar lay west of Danovian. Azar is home to four great wizards.‭ The strongest of the four,‭ Jathar, ‬ruled South Azar. ‬Jathar also headed the Wizard Council.‭ ‬ Under his guidance,‭ ‬Mozard ruled over East Azar. ‬Rezmond ruled West Azar.‭ Raka ruled in the North.‭ ‬ Citizens of Azar considered their wizards to be gods. ‭ Azar wizards are immortal. ‬

During troubling times, enemies of Azar could target a wizards family. So the wizards of Azar never married.
